Max Von Sydow

Bio:
Tall, gaunt, internationally recognized Swedish screen star who studied acting at Stockholm's Royal Dramatic Theater School, where he met and married actress Kerstin Olin in 1951. Von Sydow made his film debut in Alf Sjoberg's "Bara en Mor/Only a Mother" (1949), but it was his devotion to the theatre in Halsingborg from 1953 to 1955 and then at Malmo from 1955 to 1960 in plays ranging from "Peer Gynt" to "Cat On A Hot Tin Roof", "The Misanthrope" and "Henry IV" that earned him a reputation as a fine stage actor.
